First Aid
First aid training includes minor as well as serious first aid guidelines to enable you, as a parent, to be prepared for any medical emergency. Each person will receive a CPR & first aid booklet and certificate (from the Resuscitation Council of South Africa), as well as a CPR mouthpiece that you will be trained on. This course is approved by Discovery Vitality and each member will earn 1000 Discovery Miles for completing the course.
CPR
CPR and first aid training course is done in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by the Resuscitation Council of Southern Africa. This audio-visual course covers CPR and choking for infants (newborn to 1 year) and children (1–13 years) as well as how to use an AED. CPR is a critical and essential skill that will prepare a parent to be confident even if a baby or child stops breathing due to drowning, choking, shock, respiratory distress or severe injury.
