ABC Baby Care
ABC Baby Care Training is nanny training with a difference! Sister Marlette Visagie, owner of ABC Baby Care Training, is passionate about empowering nannies or childminders with the necessary knowledge and skills. With more than 20 years of nanny training experience, Sister Marlette is enabling them to take care of your baby or toddler confidently and responsibly with the love, enthusiasm, and care they deserve in their own familiar home environment. The ABC Baby Care Nanny course presents training in a fun, hands-on, and meaningful way in Zulu as well as English, by Marlette herself. She strives to help mothers have greater peace of mind when leaving their most precious possessions with a nanny or childminder.
The one day CPR and First Aid course offered to parents, au pairs, grandparents, or teachers, provides the necessary and critical skills to handle most common paediatric emergencies as well as minor incidents, aiming at alleviating stress and making parenthood a joyful experience. This is a registered Resuscitation Council course and covers child and infant CPR & choking, AED as well as paediatric first aid training. Each person will receive a training manual, CPR mouthpiece, and certificate upon completion of the course. This course is approved by Discovery Vitality and is valid for 2 years.
About ABC Baby Care
Marlette Visagie is a qualified registered nurse, midwife, and certified nurse educator. She has specialised in paediatric care since 1997 and is a registered CPR instructor with the Resuscitation Council of South Africa. ABC Baby Care Training celebrated it’s 20th anniversary and still aims to improve the training, interaction, and individual touch that it has been known for since 2003. As a mother of two, she has been a speaker at various pregnancy and breastfeeding awareness events and an expert speaker at the Mama Magic Baby Expo for multiple years.
Nanny Training
Sister Marlette, an experienced Paediatric Nursing Sister, has been teaching this comprehensive 5-week childcare course for more than 20 years. It offers comprehensive training in both Zulu and English by Sister Marlette herself. Participants receive a detailed manual, the ABC Nanny Diary as well as a certificate on completion. The sessions take place on Tuesdays from 8:45AM to 2:30 PM for 5 consecutive weeks.
CPR & First Aid
This one-day CPR and first aid training course, designed for new parents, teachers or au pairs, equips you with essential skills to handle emergencies like drowning, choking, and other unforeseen accidents. The course covers CPR & Choking for infants and children as well as paediatric first aid, helping to reduce anxiety and prepare you for any situation.
