Sister Marlette obtained her B.Soc.Sc (Nursing) and Advanced University Diploma in Management and Education, Cum Laude and has been specialising in Paediatric nursing since 1997. She is a registered instructor with the Resuscitation of South Africa and a mother of two.

Sister Marlette has been a speaker at numerous Pregnancy and Breastfeeding Awareness weeks for Life Westville hospital and Busamed Hillcrest Hospital since 2009. She was also selected as one of the Expert Speakers at the Mama Magic Baby Expo in 2010, 2011 and 2012. She has published articles in the Mama Magic Magazine in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Throughout her years of training, she has often been invited as a speaker at ante-natal and post-natal groups to share her knowledge and expertise with the moms. She was also a guest speaker at the 2024 Flaire Baby and toddler market held in Johannesburg.

Her passion is to educate each person with the necessary knowledge and skills required when looking after a baby or toddler, be it a new parent, au pair or teacher during the CPR and First Aid training. Also to guide each nanny through the nanny training, inspiring and empowering them to reach their full potential not only in the workplace but also in their own community and homes.
